Mini break till Fall Kickoff

Just wanted to remind everyone that we are done with our Wednesday night bible study and Sunday evening lifegroup until after our Fall kickoff Wednesday September 8th. Take this time to catch your breath, and GET READY FOR AN AWESOME FALL coming up in a couple of weeks.

Back From Tecate and Shasta!

So everyone has returned from the big summer trips over the last couple of weeks … and God did some AWESOME STUFF!!!
Jr. High Tecate Missions Trip:
The entire crew had a great time … doing God’s work down in Tecate, Mexico. There was a lot of work to be done, buildings to be worked on, VBS bible schools to run, and hanging out with the kids of Tecate. It was very evident that God used each person on this trip in just incredible ways! High School HouseBoats 2010:
The high school group also had an incredible week on the houseboats in Lake Shasta, CA. Not only was the trip an incedible time to come together as a body of believers for a lot of fun of laying in the sun, water skiing, and bannana boating … But God moved in crazy awesome ways as the group worked through the first two chapters of 1st Peter. Lives were changed, and many rededicated themselves to living “Holy Lives” as scripture calls us to do!
Discussion Board Is Up and Running

After a long day of learning by failure, I finally got the discussion board up and running. If you follow the link at the top of the page “Discussion Board”, you will be able to get to the page.
Now, many of you may head there right away and notice that you can not see anything. That is because I have set it up that you have to be a member of the fccyouth site before you are able to see or write anything on that page. So here is how you do it …
At the main screen, on the right, there should be a login box. Click register new user, and fill in all the information. Once you have done that successfully, I will recieve a message that you have registered, at which time I will then assign you a password, get that back to you, and enable your user to write on the discussion board.
AFTER ALL THAT IS DONE … you will have full access to the discussion board.
Let me know if you run into any problems, and I can help get things straightened out, now that I KINDA know what I am doing.
OK, back to studying Philippians now … LATER!!!

Bible Studies and Sunday School

I also just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that we have already started up our summer bible study sessions and are continuing with our weekly Sunday school times.
Wednesday nights start at 6:30, and both the middle school and high school are working through the book of Philippians. The high school meets in the youth room, and the middle school meets in the fireside room. Be sure to bring your bibles!!! You can let your parents know that we will be done by 8:00 every wednesday this summer.
Sunday School is also continuing through the summer. The middle school group is working through their “Character” curriculum, and they meet Sunday mornings at 9am in the education building room #3. The high school is working through 1st and 2nd Timothy, and meet at 9am in the youth room.
You can also find all these events on the newly updated calendar!!

Due to the 4th of July, we will NOT be having Sunday School or Lifegroups this coming Sunday (July 4th).

The CALENDAR is now up and running

I just got the calendar up and running for you guys. You can find the link both at the top of the page and at the bottom as well where it says “Calendar”. You can then run your mouse over the dates and see information about each event we have scheduled. Check back often, as some dates and times may change due to availability and such, but stuff for this summer is pretty much spelled out as it is going to be.
Let me know if you have any questions regarding any of these events … and parent release forms will be available on this site as the events come closer.

The New And Improved Youth Site

HELLO EVERYONE!!
I truly hope that everyone’s summer is going well so far. I have now upgraded our youth website, and plan on using this site for a lot more starting now. Events and announcements can be found here, paperwork for youth events can be dowloaded from here, and I will post pictures and videos of our events as they take place. This way everyone will know where to get all the information regarding all of our youth activities!!
Again, I hope everyone is having a great summer, and if you are ever bored, give me a call … we can head out for coffee or something.
