Small Group Night

Calling All High Schoolers!!  Just a reminder that it is small group night tonight for youth group.  Aaron’s group will be meeting at his house, Joel’s group will be meeting here at the church, Christine’s group will be meeting at her house, and Mary/Brenda’s group will be meeting here at the church, and then heading to Mary’s house for the evening.  CALL ME if there are any questions on where you need to go tonight.  HAVE FUN, and I am sure I will see you at some point in the night!

Youth Group Cancelled

HS Movie Night

Just a reminder to everybody that for Youth Group tonight, we will be watching “To Save A Life”.  The movie is 2 hours long, so we will be starting right at 6:30, so be sure to be on time, so you don’t miss anything.

Parents, if you have any questions about the movie, check your email as I sent out a description, links, and my approach for the next couple of weeks.  If you have not recieved an email, that is probably b/c I do not have you on my parent email list.  Just send me an email, and I will get you on that, and forward the email that I sent out.

HS OutReach Night

Just a reminder for all you FCC YOUTH High Schoolers … Remember, we are leaving tomorrow night at 6:30 SHARP!  Loading the bus, and heading out to the Ferndale Event Center as we volunteer to help set up for Thursday night’s Whatcom Pregnancy Center’s yearly banquet.   This will be an incredible opportunity to simply be servants for the night in helping this great cause.

REMEMBER TO HAVE YOUR PAPERWORK SIGNED BY YOUR PARENTS BEFORE YOU COME IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY.  You can download that paperwork from the PAPERWORK tab on this homepage.   We will be back by the end of youth group time (8:15 ish)

“Courageous” Movie Trip

As I announced at youth group last night, the Hamstra’s have invited the entire youth group to go and see the movie “Courageous” on Sunday afternoon. You can see a preview of it at

You would be responsible for your own ticket (according to the movie theater website, tickets are around $10.50 I THINK), but the Hamstra’s have offered to pay for pizza after the movie right around the corner.

SO …. if you are interested in going, meet at the church parking lot at 3 o’clock. Everyone can carpool down, leaving by 3:15 sharp, you will go to the 4:10 showing, and then will be walking to get pizza (supplied by the Hamstras) afterwards. Any questions, feel free to call me!

Middle School ‘Fun Night’

Just a reminder to all the middle school students, remember we are going to be heading to Al and Naomi Kussat’s property for youth group tomorrow night. Meet here at the church at 6:30 sharp, as we will have transportation for you. Wear clothes that are warm enough, and you are ok if they smell like campfire by the end of the night. We will be sure to have you back to the church by 8:15 to be picked up by parents.

BE SURE TO BRING YOUR “GENERAL RELEASE FORM” WITH YOU!  If you did not receive one in the mail, be sure download it from the PAPERWORK tab at the top of this website, get it signed, and bring it with!!!!

FALL KICKOFF!!!

Hello everyone! It has been way too long since we have consistantly been together, and I am so excited to see everyone THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT, the 14th, for our Youth Group Kickoff. PLEASE come hungry as we will have salmon, hamburgers, hot dogs, veggies, chips, etc … We will have some fun together as a group, enjoy fellowship, catch up a little bit, and then we will be blessed to be visited by ‘The Crossing’, which is a worship band from NorthWest University down in Kirkland, and yes, for those that know him, our very own Austin Oltman is a part of the band. They will be here to give us a concert/time of worship together through song.

Its going to be a great time, and a lot of fun coming together again … so BE SURE TO BE HERE!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS

So after a summer full of fun events, bible studies, and fellowship, the summer of 2011 is about OVER already. Next Wednesday night (the 24th) there will be an “All Church Fellowship” night going on around the Ministry Center. Be sure to bring a lawnchair if you can. This will be the last Wednesday night until our school year kickoff which is on September 14th. You will not want to miss that night as we will have our yearly kickoff bbq, as well as hosting a praise and worship band named “The Crossing” that night.

We have one more SUNDAY SCHOOL for the summer quarter, and will then be taking 3 weeks off from that in preparation for our Fall KickOff. The first Sunday School of the fall will start up on September 18th. The same goes for Sunday night lifegroups, that will will be off until after the Fall Kickoff.

Wild Waves Theme Park

Sign ups for our “Wild Waves Them Park” trip is now open!!!  We will be heading down to Wild Waves Theme Park in Federal Way, WA on Monday August 8th, 2011.  We will be leaving at 7:30am and returning to to the church between 8:00 or 9:00ish that night.  The cost for the entire day is $30 / person … which covers your trip down, access to the park and all the rides, and lunch … all other information you can get from the information paperwork under the PAPERWORK tab.

In order to reserve a spot, get the parent release form (PAPERWORK tab) and your $30 to me ASAP.  We need to know who is coming right away, as we have to figure out transportation as well as Pre-Order our tickets.

So go download the paperwork, check out the information page (give it to your parents), and get that stuff into me (or Mike) as soon as you can!!!

CampOut Overnighter

This Friday, July 22nd to Saturday the 23rd, we will be having an overnight campout on the Kussat’s property at 9845 Jackman Road.  Everything starts up with a BBQ at 5pm, then we will have hangout time, games, bonfire, and other activities, and then will be sleeping in tents/underthestars/inside the barn … whatever it is you decide.  THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT!!

All the information you need is available under the “paperwork heading” so go and check that out, make sure your parents get it, and AWAY WE GO!

YOU MUST RSVP WITH BLAKE BY THURSDAY AT THE LATEST!!  We need to know how much food we need to get for both dinner, snacks, and breakfast the next day.
