FCC Youth

So we still have spots left for the upcoming winter retreats.  Remember, if money is an issue, let me know and we will work something out.

Middle school, remember you are all going skating on Wednesday night, so be sure to bring your parent release form, as well as $4 for skates or $6 for blades.  Finally, make sure your parents know that you need to be picked up at the skating rink at 8:30 Wednesday night.

High school, we will have a normal youth night in the youth room!

The date to remember is Sunday January 3rd!!  That is when all Youth activities will resume again after Christmas break.  I hope everyone is having a tremendously awesome Holiday season.  If you are bored, GIVE ME A CALL and I can take ya out for lunch, or coffee, OR SIMPLY HANG OUT! 

See you guys on the 3rd at Sunday school, and then Youth Group starting up again the 6th!!!

Wanted to make sure that everyone remembers the Christmas Party next week for youth group on Wednesday night.

Each person needs to bring two ’white elephant’ gifts as well as some snacks to share with everyone.  Gifts have to be under $5 if your going to go out and buy something, or can be anything you find laying around home.  Snacks can be anything from chips, cookies, candy, etc ….

Party starts at 6:30 … and we will clean up and head out at the normal 8:15 time.

Just a heads up to everyone … lifegroup tonight (November 29th) will be at the Hamstra’s house, starting at 6:30!  Their address is 1856 Kamm Road here in Lynden.

So here are the dates for the winter retreats coming up … be sure to get a downpayment in and sign up on the signup sheets if your interested.  Downpayments are $50, and will be counted towards the total cost of the trips.

MIDDLE SCHOOL:  January 29-31st up at The Firs Chalet up by Mt. Baker Ski Resort

HIGH SCHOOL:  February 26th-28th up at Manning Park in B.C.

Sign up sheets and registration will begin at next week’s youth group (Nov 4th).

OK High Schoolers … so just a reminder that this week we are headed to Bellingham to help set up for the Whatcom Pregnancy Clinic’s banquette.  This will be our outreach for the month of October, so be sure to be here on Wednesday night.

**IMPORTANT**

We will be leaving the church by 6:30, so be sure to be here shortly before that, otherwise the bus will be leaving without you, and you will be stuck here, with no one, and NOTHING to do.

Middle Schoolers, you guys have a normal night, except for the fact that you have the entire place to yourself … SO BRING FRIENDS!!!

Hey all, just checking to see if anyone ever checks our website anymore.  Also, wanted to know if anyone had any ideas on how I could make this site better.  Im going to start taking more pictures and videos of our youth events, so I can post those up on here.  Any other ideas?  Let me know!!!

We only have 15 tickets for each show still available, so if you are interested, bring in your money to either me or Mike ASAP before they are gone.

Alright everyone, the wait is NO MORE!  We are starting back up the regular and weekly youth group meetings on Wednesday nights.  This week, starting at 6:30, we will be having a BBQ, hanging out with each other, talking about the upcoming year, and then spending some time in worship!!  So don’t eat dinner before you come, and be sure to come ready to have a great time.

Also, Sunday school and Sunday night lifegroups are starting up NEXT Sunday … Sunday school in the morning will be with me, and lifegroups on Sunday night will be with Aaron (that starts at 6:00pm).

Well, it is finally here!  The long awaited SportsPlex Overnighter has arrived.  Here is the scoop on everything going on.

WHEN:  This Friday, August 28th, 2009.  We will meet at FCC at 8:00 over in the main entrance to the church.

WHO:  We are going to be partnering up with First Reformed Church (my old church) for the entire night.  BOTH HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOLERS, although you will be split up the entire night.

WHAT:  We will be having fun games, video games, basketball, ice hockey, broom hockey, bombardment, soccer, frisbee, movies, music, and more!!

WHAT TO BRING:  Cost is $10.00 and each person has to have a parent release form signed by your parents.  I have it available using the following link to a PDF file you can print out on your own printer …

I will also have a stack available when you are dropped off at the church, but BE SURE TO GET IT DONE!

Also, each person has to bring some sort of snack to share with everyone.  We will be supplying pizza, but everything else is going to come from students … SO EVERYONE BRING A SNACK!

TILL WHEN:  We will serve breakfast at 6:30 on Saturday morning, and ask that parents come to pick up you guys by 7:30am.
